An explainer walking through Nextcloud's private cloud, from file sharing to security.

Working with MezzoLab has been a great experience. A pro-active, flexible, result-driven can-do attitude, easy and efficient communication, an understanding of the design and style we needed and the ability to adapt to it quickly and perfectly, hard work and wonderful results in a record time - all good reasons to keep working with this team of winners!
Explaining Nextcloud's Cloud Service.
Nextcloud is used at home, in small offices, and in large organizations, scaling from a few to hundreds of thousands of users. Now, this works great, but we saw three challenges.
First, scaling beyond a million users. Second, decreasing costs significantly.
And finally, supporting globally distributed hosting centers so you can bring data closer to users or keep it somewhere to respect local law and regulations. We designed our new architecture for this, Global Scale.
This is how it works. We split the single data center and spread the user data out.
Users log in one place, but the global site selector redirects them to the node their data is on. When users share with others, our lookup servers ensure smooth, seamless collaboration.
Finally, the balancer monitors system performance and business requirements, ensuring data at the optimal location for speed, security, and legal compliance. The global scale architecture brings Nextcloud to a new level, enabling installation serving hundreds of millions of users.
With Nextcloud 12, the first pieces of our vision are here. Ask us for a proof of concept.
